Very nice video. I did a bit of testing with the fextralife version (which I’m guessing you were referring to by popular RUclipsr since he also suggested strength / dex coincidentally). It made sense at first because I’m not really going to use the weapon set that much especially in a boss fight. But the way you broke down the numbers including how much dmg you do with the insignia talismans, it looks like the dmg evens out with the other build while being able to do dmg with the weapon art when you have the chance to use it. I’ll definitely try your optimized version (granted I don’t have Millicent prosthesis talisman as I’m still in NG) tomorrow and give feedback as i get further in.

I am so mad about wasting my ancient dragon stones on smithscript weapons. Their R2s are a gimmick at best. The high damage R1s on int/fth infusions were the real reason to even bother with them.

So, is there a single weapon viable for a dragon communion build? Something the prophet class can 1-hand, pierce damage to fight dragons, occult infused if not just naturally arcane scaling. And flowerstone gavel doesn't fit a dragon communion build thanks to its lightning based skill, when only 2 dragon communion spells deal lightning damage.

If you were doing this build post-DLC, would you use the new Staff of the Great Beyond for convenience, or does that sacrifice too much spell scaling?

They nerfed smithscript stuff? They already felt kinda weak...shit man they really don't want you to have fun.

This helped me optimise my light roll beast claw build. I was running 60 arcane and 27 faith with Beast Claws set to occult, and whilst I was doing okay, the damage output was lacking. Swapping to heavy infusion and respecing to 80 strength with 10 faith and 12 arcane for Bloodflame Blade and Beastial Vitality helped a lot! It's a shame I am not using my incantations anymore, but that's hardly an issue and can correct that when I go into NG+. And as for the buffs, there are now a golden vow consumables and well pickled turtle necks to get the buffs I need. Thank you again!

I think they waaaay over nerfed the perfume bottles. They feel REALLY bad now. Practically unusable. Very disheartening as someone who was looking forward to them since their reveal.

When building for a specific incantation type, for example Dragon cult, is it better to use 2 Gravelstones to double up the bonus, or is it better to use the godslayer/Erdtree seal in your main hand with a Gravelstone in your offhand?

Can I just forgo the FAITH and dump it into the INT /Strength/Dex since I do not want to use the Fire AOW? How would taht distribution work?

5:06 also the dragon hunting great katana have a Feint charged attack. I'm not sure about other great katanas tho. Overall this weapon have almost the same animations as katanas from Monster Hunter series.
